REGULAR CLUBS, CLASSES & GROUPS
The Reading Room provides a versatile meeting space for a variety of different groups. What sets the Reading Room apart is our flexibility – you can tailor the facilities to suit your needs in a way that few other venues will allow.
There are a wide variety of classes, workshops and groups that already take place throughout the week at the Reading Room. We call these, our regular hirers. They operate their businesses using the Reading Room as their base (or one of the venues they run their classes at). The image below shows which classes are running and when. Here are some of the benefits of hiring the Reading Room for your class, club or meeting:

The versatile layout can accommodate different types of activity, with larger (and louder!) groups in the Main Hall (with a capacity of 100), while the Billiard Room offers a more intimate meeting space (capacity of 30). See Gallery for potential room layouts.

There is ample locked storage space, and many of our clients leave equipment onsite in between classes, which is a major convenience for them. Please note that a nominal storage fee will apply.

Each room has its own kitchen, stocked with crockery, cutlery, a fridge freezer and dishwasher (main kitchen only), as well as bathroom facilities.

The main hall has a great sound system that you can plug into using your own device to play background music for your session and the Reading Room holds the appropriate licenses for this. Please note, if your requirements fall outside of the scope of this licence you may be required to provide proof of your own licences or pay an additional fee so that our licence can be updated to incporporate your needs.

As part of your hire agreement, the classes or workshops that you run from the Reading Room will be promoted on our website and Facebook page.

Curdridge has excellent transportation links: Botley Railway Station is less than a mile away and the village is less than 10 minutes from the M27 motorway.
